Payment


Bring your payment to the Town Clerk/Tax Department located on the ground level floor at 445 Delaware Avenue, Delmar. The office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  For in person payments the town accepts cash, checks (made payable to Town of Bethlehem), money orders and debit/credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express).  Debit/credit card payments are offered by a 3rd party vendor, Value Payments Systems, who charges a small convenience fee for the service.  The town receives only the amount of your bill.  All non-Water/Sewer payment convenience fees 1.00% debit, 2.39% credit, e-Check $1.50 ($1.95 minimum non-tax fee).

If you know your permit number, you may go directly to the Town Clerk/Tax Department to make payment otherwise, go to the Building Division first on the second floor to obtain your permit number. After payment is made at the Town Clerk/Tax Department window, you may come upstairs with your receipt to pick up your permit.

Please note that permits must be obtained prior to the start of any work.  Also, please do not send any payment with application.

For roof or fence work, a corresponding Roof / Fence Application Statement of Compliance must be submitted along with a Building Permit Application .
