Margaret, "Peggy", graduated from Dartmouth College and earned an MBA at Cornell, where she also took courses in planning and historic preservation. She retired after a 33 year career in New York State government, serving as Director of the Statewide Financial System, Deputy Commissioner at the Department of Taxation and Finance, Deputy Comptroller at the Office of the State Comptroller, and Director of Budget Studies at the Assembly Ways and Means Committee.
Peggy was a member of the Town’s 2012 Transition Committee and Governance Options Study Committee. She has volunteered with the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy since 2001, including terms as president, secretary, treasurer and board member. Peggy lives in Slingerlands with her husband John in a vernacular Queen Anne Victorian home, an ongoing project now in its fourth decade.
