History Paddle - Hudson River and Vlomankill - FREE but must pre-register, Thursday 6/28

Thursday, June 28, 2018

Enjoy a guided kayak/canoe paddle along the Hudson River and Vlomankill. Learn about Bethlehem’s historic river connections from the unique perspective of actually being on the water. Experience the historic Nicoll-Sill House, Winne’s dock, Parda Hook and, if the creek is passable, the waterfall on the Vlomankill.

Participants MUST bring all of their own gear, including personal flotation device, and be proficient paddlers. Ms. Leath will provide the history info, but is not a boating instructor. Arrive in time to unload and be on the water by 6:00 pm for evening paddles and by 9:30 am for Saturday paddle.

FREE but please pre-register. See page 10 of the Parks and Recreation Summer 2018 Playbook for registration details. If unable to attend registered dates, kindly call the office to cancel at 518-439-4955, ext. 2131.

In case of inclement weather, check the website bethlehemhistorical.org for cancellations. Information will be posted by 1 hour before launch time.
