Bethlehem Police Offer FREE Stop the Bleed Training to Residents on Thursday 11/14

Stop The Bleed

BETHLEHEM POLICE OFFER- FREE -

STOP THE BLEED TRAINING TO RESIDENTS

On Thursday, November 14, 2019, the Bethlehem Police Department will be holding a Stop the Bleed® course, free to town residents.  Stop the Bleed® is an initiative of the American College of Surgeons and the Hartford Consensus to help prepare you in the event of a bleeding emergency. The only thing more tragic then a death is a death that can be prevented. This important basic lifesaving course will give you the knowledge and skills of how to manage a life threatening bleed with the use of clotting bandages and tourniquets. Following a 45 minute power point presentation by a certified Stop the Bleed® instructor, participants will then practice the basic skills learned. Members of the Bethlehem Police Department with the assistance of Delmar-Bethlehem EMS will demonstrate and train participants in how to use these lifesaving skills.

This training is free to Town of Bethlehem residents and will begin at 7:00 pm in the Bethlehem Town Hall Auditorium, 445 Delaware Avenue, Delmar. We do ask that you please RSVP to Sergeant Mike Whiteley at 518-439-9973 extension 1360, or mwhiteley@townofbethlehem.org.
