Message from BPD regarding resources to help when considering if a business is considered essential

Numerous Town Departments have been receiving calls in regards to questions about if business are considered essential, and are allowed to operate under the Executive Orders issued by the Governor.  Pursuant to the Executive Orders issued by Governor Andrew Cuomo, the following resources will help residents and business determine what are considered essential business and which are not.

Please be aware that violations of these Executive Orders are subject to civil and/or criminal penalties based upon the circumstances.  Guidance and resource links are as follows:

Definitions in regards to “Essential Business” can be answered by referring to this list:
