The Bethlehem Police Department is currently investigating a distraction burglary that took place on Blessing Road at approximately 12:45PM on Thursday, November 1, 2018. In this incident a white male suspect in his 40’s approached the resident and advised that they needed to “inspect some lines” in the back of the house.
The homeowner and suspect went to the rear of the residence, while the suspect communicated with another, unknown person, over a two-way radio. When the resident returned to the front of the house they determined that the second unknown suspect had entered their residence and stolen US currency from inside the house.
The first suspect is described as a white male in his 40’s wearing a light colored t-shirt, vest, gloves and a baseball style hat. There is no description on the second suspect involved. The suspect fled the scene north on Blessing Road towards Krumkill Road in a white four door sedan, that was missing the front license plate.
The Bethlehem Police Department is currently working with multiple other area law enforcement agencies as this incident could be related to the recent crime pattern of distraction burglaries in the area.
