Bethlehem Town Hall

Bethlehem Town Hall is the center of town government.  Offices of the Town Supervisor, Assessor, Comptroller, Information Services, Receiver of Taxes, Town Clerk, and Town Planner are located here.  The Building Department, Department of Public Works, and Senior Citizens Services also occupy Town Hall.   

The Police Department (*open 24 hours) and the Justice Court (*8:30-4:00) are in a separate part of the building at 447 Delaware Avenue.

The Highway Department, located at 74 Elm Avenue East, Selkirk, is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  The Recycling Office, located at the Highway Department, is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - noon.

The Parks and Recreation Department, located at 261 Elm Avenue in Delmar, is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

During the school year, Youth Employment Service (Y.E.S.) is open Mondays and Thursdays 2:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.  Y.E.S. is located at the Parks and Recreation Department office, 261 Elm Avenue, Delmar, NY

All town hearings and meetings take place at Town Hall.  The Town Board meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month; the Planning Board meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month and the Zoning Board of Appeals meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.  The Town Board meetings begin at 6:00 p.m., the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals meetings begin at 7:00 p.m.

Tentative agendas for board meetings are posted at Town Hall, at the Bethlehem Public Library, and on this web site.  Meeting information is also provided by public access channel TV-18 two business days prior to meetings.

The general public is encouraged to donate their used eyeglasses, sunglasses and hearing aids to their local Lions club.  Look for the blue and white Lions Recycle For Sight collection box at the Town Clerk's office.

There are drop off boxes at the Town Clerk's office in Town Hall for recycling the following: license plates, six-pack rings, household batteries and cell phones.
