Advisory Committees
Consistent with the Town’s Comprehensive Plan and its commitment to
aggressively plan for its future, the Town is engaged in several major
planning initiatives. Recognizing the great value of citizen participation
and input in the process, the Town has established advisory committees to assist
in the planning process. Advisory committees include various Town stakeholders
who voluntarily participate to represent the interests, opinions and geographic
concerns of Town residents, businesses and property owners. Members of
advisory committees are appointed by the Town Board, and although they do not have
policy-making authority, they work very closely with Town staff and consultants to
develop community consensus and recommendations on specific topics and projects.
