====================================================

Yard Waste is composted at the Town's Compost and Wood Chipping Facility.  Properly prepared yard waste is picked up by the Town of Bethlehem Highway Department.  Reusable containers and paper bags are acceptable.  Bags and containers should not weigh over 50 lbsPlastic bags for yard waste are UNACCEPTABLE.

During Spring Cleanup (the month of April exclusively) and Fall (about October 15) leaves can be left loose at curbside; no brush or trees from private contractors.  NOTE: There is no set schedule during the Fall Loose Leaf Pickup, due to the volume of leaves.  Year round, brush can be stacked neatly at curbside in lengths not over 6 feet.  Please do not obstruct the road with brush, leaf or grass piles.  Placing debris into the roadway constitutes a violation of the law as well as creates a hazardous situation for pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

Leave grass on the lawn to replenish nitrogen.

Yard Waste Paper Bags can be purchased, 3 for $1 at the Town Hall,
Elm Avenue Park, Highway Department, and Rupert Road Transfer Station.
