The Planning Department provides assistance to the Planning Board and Town Board in the review of proposed new developments.
They identify issues that need to be addressed during the course of a project's review, including environmental, traffic, and design matters.
Temporary Policy Update during COVID-19 Pandemic
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has resulted in altered work environments for most people, the Bethlehem Department of Economic Development and Planning has temporarily changed our policies for Planning Board submittals. All submittals shall be provided in digital pdf format for the protection of our staff. Hard copies will not be accepted.
Revised Plans / Response to Comments
Email a digital copy of revised plans along with a response to comment letter to the Planning Board Assistant, Deborah Kitchen (email@example.com) and the planner for which your project has been assigned. DO NOT send hard copies at this time.
Please include the following in the subject line of the email: Project Name, Revision Date of Plans, Town Project ID Number (this is the 10 digit number found above the Planning Board approval box (e.g.19-00400001).
Email a digital copy of the new application, including plans and associated documents (wetland report, SWPPP, etc.) to Planning Board Assistant, Deborah Kitchen (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Forms and Application Requirements can be found on the Forms page. As soon as Town Hall is open and back to a regular business schedule we may ask you to submit hard copies of plans previously sent to us for the Planning Board file. Planning Staff are working from home and will do their best to process and review the applications as efficiently as possible.
