Town code provisions adopted in 2012 clarified the rules for temporary lawn signs often used by candidates for election, not-for-profits, civic groups or others promoting their events or causes. The town code permits the use of temporary signs on private non-commercial property with the permission of the owner. While the town code provides legal authorization for temporary sign use, we have put together the following plain language rules to help organizations, individuals, and candidates for public office understand the rules for their use within the Town of Bethlehem.
