Delaware Avenue NY Forward 2023

The Town of Bethlehem intends to submit an application again this year for a NY Forward grant for the Delaware Avenue corridor—from the Bethlehem/Albany border to the Four Corners—which if successful could provide up to $4.5M to support a wide range of capital improvements in the corridor, including redevelopment of existing buildings, façade improvements, public space upgrades, and more, as well as branding and marketing investments for the corridor.  The program, managed by the NYS Department of State, aims to “invigorate and enliven downtowns in New York’s smaller and rural communities” such as villages and hamlets.

The Town applied for this competitive grant in 2022 but was not selected (download the 2022 application here).  Kinderhook, Cambridge, and Coxsackie were the recipients from the Capital Region in 2022.

Applications for the 2023 round are due on September 29th.  The Town will be holding a public meeting on September 14th at 6:00 pm at Town Hall to discuss the application and gather community input.
