Responsibilities

The Planning Board has two primary responsibilities:

  • Site plan review on each plan submitted
  • Complete review of each subdivision plat plan

These functions are carried out in close cooperation with the town's Planning Department and Engineering Division.

Meeting Broadcast Schedule

Meetings are generally held on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Meetings are streamed live and on-demand online. Past meetings can also be seen on Bethlehem Community Network Television (BCN-TV) Channel 1301 for Spectrum customers and Channel 28 for Verizon FiOS customers Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 12:00 noon.  Check BCN-TV for any changes or updates to the schedule.

Payment

Payment must be in the form of check made payable to Town of Bethlehem. Note:  The Town will never request payment via wire transfer.  Please be careful of fraudulent solicitations requesting payment in form other than a check made payable to the Town of Bethlehem.

Zoning Changes/Updates

The Bethlehem Planning Board will serve as the advisory body during development of the project.  Pursuant to Zoning Law 128-92, the Planning Board shall provide a final recommendation on the zoning updates to the Town Board, prior to Town Board adoption.  The consultant will attend several regularly scheduled Planning Board meetings coinciding with key milestones during the project to gather input and share its latest findings.  As with all Planning Board meetings, these advisory sessions are open to the public.  Please visit the Zoning Changes/Updates web page for more information.
