Police Reform and Reinvention Committee
Through the end of March, advisory committee meetings will be held without a public comment period. The public will be invited to comment at community forums as scheduled. This approach allows the Committee a full two hours for discussion and collaboration, and gives community members time to process and comment during the forums. As always, meetings of the advisory committee and community forums will be webcast live and archived for viewing on the town website.

Update from Supervisor David VanLuven
The Police Reform & Reinvention Advisory Committee’s first meeting on Oct 15 was long but very productive. I was so impressed by the caliber of the Committee’s comments and how quickly it became clear that we all share a common interest in making Bethlehem a more fair, just, and equitable community. It was also nice to have our Police Department participating as a supportive, engaged partner in the Collaborative effort, something I hope is the case in other communities as well.
Future Meetings & Community Forums
We are booking the Town calendar to reserve every Thursday through December for alternating Advisory Committee meetings and Community Forums. We can decide as we move forward how many of these meetings to have (and which to shift when they conflict with holidays), but we are locking in the dates so they’re available.
If you are unable to participate in the community forums or advisory committee public comment periods, please use this form to share ideas and experiences.
