The Town of Bethlehem is moving forward with a wide variety of initiatives that advance our sustainability goals, lower our municipal climate footprint, and make us more resilient against climate change. You can help!
Help promote a more walkable community by participating in the Bethlehem Safe Streets campaign (e.g., put up a sign, share social media posts, talk to your neighbors) and driving more slowly on our many residential neighborhood streets
Volunteer for events and projects organized by our Recycling and Composting Department and Parks and Recreation Department (e.g., Spring RecycleFest, Household Hazardous Waste Collections, Community Compost Bin and Rain Barrel Sale, I Love My Parks Day, Native Plant Demonstration Garden weeding).
Support municipal sustainability initiatives in public meetings and on social media (e.g., farms and forests conservation, sidewalk improvements, municipal energy efficiency improvements)
Take actions to reduce your carbon footprint.
