Hunting, trapping and fishing licenses can be purchased online from the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) or you may purchase in-person at the Town Clerk’s Office. We accept cash or check made payable to the Town of Bethlehem.
Hunting Licenses
- You need a hunting license if you are 12 years and older and using a firearm or bow to hunt or take wild game. Persons under 12 cannot hunt.
- New annual licenses and deer management permits go on sale in August each year.
- Licenses are valid from September 1 - August 31.

Fishing Licenses
- You need a fishing license if you are 16 years and older.
- Annual fishing licenses are valid one full year from the date of purchase.
- 7-day and 1-day licenses are also available for purchase.
